Update

Our film We Were Famous, You Don't Remember: The Embarrassment premiered in Wichita on the last day of September as part of the city's wonderful Tallgrass Film Festival. Afterwards, the curtain went up and the Embarrassment played a rippin' set for the first time in over 15 years! Kudos to the intrepid souls that started the dance party at the front of the gorgeous, century-old Orpheum Theatre.

We got some much-appreciated coverage during the lead up to the premiere in the Kansas City Star (looking for a non-paywall digital version, but this was literally the cover of the Wednesday Star!), The Wichita Eagle, The Pitch, and on KMUW. Getting a proper “press” section together soon!

In November, our film screened as part of the awesome and lovingly curated films-on-music festival Sound Unseen in Minneapolis, Minnesota. We were there and met so many wonderful people: fellow music documentarians, filmmakers, programmers, comedians. It was a whirlwind and we even had a chance to visit Paisley Park!

Ahead in 2023

We’re hopeful that we will screen at a few more festivals in the 'spring season.' A few of those screenings could even be paired with more Embarrassment reunion shows, if the logistics can be worked out. Our fingers are crossed for that. We're also beginning to get local premieres set up in various cities throughout the country: New York City, Chicago, Boston, Seattle, Lawrence, etc. If you or someone you know would like to host a screening, please let us know! It could be at a movie theater, a record store, an art space...wherever really!

We're hopeful that by mid-year, around or just before the 4th of July the film will have its digital premiere. Our distributor, Factory25, is working on securing the streamers where our film will be available.

Happy holidays and stay away from the building of the priest!
